Babe’s Oasis Now Open on South Padre Island

Posted by on July 8, 2010

Babes Oasis

New owners James and Terri Beck welcome you to Babe’s Oasis.
James & Terri  have been married for 7 years, but have been friends for almost 30.  Together they have 5 daughters, 3 sons, 3 granddaughters and a grandson due in September 2010.
In March 2009  James was diagnosed with a non-malignant brain tumor that affected his short term memory.  A friend asked Terri to travel with her to South Padre Island for a conference, knowing that Terri could use a little relax time.
When Terri returned to Round Rock, she talked to James about purchasing a small hotel on the island.  With his background as a contractor/painter, and her background in property/project management,  it just made sense to combine those skills and purchase a hotel.  James told her they would call it Babe’s Oasis…James always calls her Babe, and Terri had  found a little oasis during this very stressful time.
In January 2010 the Beck’s returned to the Island together and looked at a few properties.  They loved the small cabana style property and contacted the owner.  James & Terri moved May 23 and opened the doors of Babe’s Oasis June 1.
Whether you choose to relax by the pool, or have an adventurous day on the beach, the staff’s goal is to ensure that you enjoy your tropical getaway.  The property features 19 air conditioned rooms with wifi, large pool, hot tub and sundecks where you can enjoy your continental breakfast. Babe’s Oasis is a great place to stay for the TIFT coming up. Make plans early and call 956-433-5360 or log on: BabesOasis.com
